Round 1...
Buffets aren't really our thing, but we met up with a friend and he wanted to take us to this great buffet that he said we'd end up having to fast for 3 days to recover from.  He wasn't far off!  Rendezvous is a buffet chain here in Bahrain that I've seen at two different malls now.  This one was located at the Seef Mall and it was very crowded as it is currently Eid and everyone is off of work and school.

The dishes were mainly arabic/indian flavored, with some italian dishes thrown in for good measure.  And it was all surprisingly quite tasty!  The roasted chicken especially had an incredibly strong charcoal taste that was absolutely delicious.  There was roasted lamb, and chicken curry, and paneer curry, and seafood, and on and on and on!  Along with the usual bevvy of desserts, mostly arabic/indian.

I was absolutely stuff when I left and quite regretted it the rest of the evening.  That's the main reason I dislike buffets.  They are expensive (by nature), encourage eating way too much food to "recoup" the cost, and usually aren't the best quality.  I don't do well under that kind of pressure! But this place is definitely a step up in the quality department.
