The attitude is just for show, they were accommodating

We took a day trip to visit some Ice Caves on the northern slope of Mt. Fuji yesterday for Labor Day.  As we were looking for lunch, we recalled driving past what looked like an interesting burger place.  Moose Hills Burger has a really nice vibe, located in a wooden frame house with a wood fire stove that is probably very cozy when it gets cold.  There is various Americana scattered throughout the restaurant, but it's not overwhelming.

Deluxe

The menu is almost entirely burgers, with a few sandwiches.  We went for the insane Deluxe Burger (everything on it pretty much), the special Indian Masala Burger, and an avocado cheesburger.  We also splurged on some dessert which was ok.  All were incredibly delicious, better than anything in Yokosuka.  I think this is the best burger place we've eaten at in Japan, honestly!  Pity it's so far away, but then again a good thing so we don't eat there too often.

Avocado cheeseburger
It's definitely spendy, but well worth it if you are all the way out here and don't feel like taking your chances with the usual Japanese options.
