With a name like Champs-Elysees, you would expect this little cafe on the ground floor of the Mercure Hotel to be a French restaurant. However the only things on the menu were curries (3 kinds) and sandwiches.
Not feeling the curry today, I opted for a sandwich, hoping for a delicious new sandwich spot close to work (note: these do not exist in Yokosuka). Unfortunately, the sandwich was a super soft ungrilled pannini with flavorless Japanese bacon, processed melty cheese and a couple of pieces of cooked eggplant (the ratatouille perhaps?).
The salad was ok, but spoiled by a tart mustard dressing. There was more mustard dressing on the sandwich itself. The tiny soup cup was totally uninteresting.
Oh yeah..there were potato chips too...also terrible.
The only reason I am not giving this a Nasty is because it's a nice looking spot that serves coffee and desserts that may be worthwhile. If I have to come back I'm going to try a curry dish.
