I have a friend at work who enjoys riding his bicycle far afield for lunch, which is good as I've pretty much exhausted all the walkable restaurants by this point. He took me up above Chuo station to try a restaurant that he liked, but it was closed, so we went for the next nearest place, which turned out to be Hideyoshi.
It's a smallish Japanese food restaurant, staffed with what had to be about 10 people...seriously there were at least 3 or 4 people behind the counter (cooks) and 3 - 4 waitresses (all old ladies). There was also a previous customer who lit up his cigarette and smoked my friend out of the place for a while.
We just picked the usual items from the Japanese menu and were fine with the result, but it was nothing special.
