My co-worker and I who are travelling this time were interested in a nearby Ethiopian restaurant called Tango 338 that is near our hotel. We finally had a chance to try it out last night.
The ambience leaves something to be desired, as it is very smoky, not well ventillated, and blaring loud music. It has a "bar" feel to it, and no one else ate anything the whole time we were there.
We asked for the menu and were told they don't have one. I asked for the usual Ethiopian spread on injera bread and they said it would be about half an hour. We decided to press on through and wait for it.
It finally arrived and it was the real deal. Several different dishes dolloped around a central meat with plenty of injera to go around. We started ripping off hunks and eating. Both of us were stuffed by the end, and I can attest to still being full the next morning.
If I was introducing someone to Ethiopian food, I probably wouldn't take them here due to the other challenges, but if someone loved it bad enough this place would scratch the itch.
